PYC News Update
Crane Day

Houseboat Crane / Trailer Out
Wednesday 22 October

Due to the large number of boats being stored on
the marina property (including the Casabella Princess
this year) our contractor will again be taking houseboats
out of the water prior to the sailboats to enable the
trailer to maneuver through the property.

Sailboat Crane Out
Saturday and Sunday
25 & 26 October

Please contact the marina office
to inquire about approximate times
and any other crane out questions

Important Notice

As per our "moorage contract", all boats must be removed
from the marina basin on or before October 31st.

Failure to comply will result in a $500.00 penalty
 or permanent loss of moorage.

Marina Building

The long awaited opening of the food and beverage facilities in the rejuvenated marina building will soon be upon us. Liquor licence transfer approval (from the former Yacht Club facility) has been granted by th City of Penticton and "final" approval from the Province is anticipated soon. The facility will receive the final inspection following some minor additions, including required signage, hopefully by the end of April.

Due to City of Penticton zoning bylaws and Provincial Liquor License rules, access to the facility will be restricted to Yacht Club members and their invited guests. (A very good reason to encourage others to join the club)

The Penticton Yacht club remains as the most affordable yacht club on the lake and offers one of the safest and most protected breakwaters anywhere.   A fully serviced gas dock also offers the lowest priced marine fuel on the lake along with septic service pump outs and pop, chip, and beverage sales.   Temporary and guest moorage services are available as is off season outdoor boat storage.

Unique to the PYTC is a highly competitive keelboat racing community, with events scheduled April through November. PYTC sailors are known to attend events valley wide, around the NW region, and even as far away as Florida. With handicap fleets racing every Wednesday evening in the summer months, generally there is a style of racing suited for most anyone. The club also has a 20 Santana sailboat available for rental by members
