The Penticton Yacht and Tennis Club has 4 newly surfaced tennis courts. All of these courts have excellent lighting, so play can continue late into the evening.
We host a wide range of skill levels and have leagues, tournaments and drop-in times for all levels of play. We offer the largest choice of social and competitive leagues in the South Okanagan. You are welcome to bring guests for up to a maximum of 5 visits per year at the reasonable rate of $5.00 per guest per visit. And don’t forget to use our new ball machine – it’s free.
We have a beautiful clubhouse with convenient washrooms and showers and very reasonably priced food, beer, wine and spirits at our in-house bar.
Our resident tennis pro, Robert Bettauer, is one of Canada’s rare level 4 professional coaches. He offers:

On the court, Robert was a three time national champion and was a member of Canada’s Davis Cup team in 1980. In addition, he held an ATP world ranking in both singles and doubles from 1977-1983. He was also a member of the Pan American University tennis team, a top ten NCAA division I school, from 1974-1978.
Robert also ran Tennis Canada’s Western Canadian high performance training centre at UBC from 1984-88 and helped coach the Davis Cup team in 1987-88. Bettauer was chosen to coach Canada’s national team at the Olympic Games in Seoul (1988) and Barcelona (1992).
